Should players be allowed more than one unique unit (be it 'Mech, vehicle, or infantry) in their army.
After listening to Megazip's argument, and coupling it with all the players of the past who wanted more than one unique, it seems reasonable that we should have some vehicle/mechanism for allowing them to have as many in thier army.
To that end I've created this thread.
I suggest the following rule change to the rule book:
Players may only have any number of unique units, be it 'Mech, Vehicle, or infantry, in his/her army. However, only the first unit is at no cost. Each unique unit after the first costs its rank value to bring into your army list. That purchase is made using your military budget and is a one time fee.
Rank Value Cost: Green: $10,000 Veteran: $20,000 Eliete: $30,000
I believe I've already set the military budget at $200,000. That means you could effectivly recruit 6 Eliete Uniques to your army. But then you wouldn't have anything left over for Mercs....but that's ok if you want that then you got it.\
Thoughts?

Does the pilot already include in that cost or is it extra as well?

Sounds like a fair solution to me. If you want LE or U figs you have to pay for them.
